ICDLI publishes HPL White Paper

The White Paper explains what High Pressure Laminate is, outlines its broad range of applications and highlights the key performance attributes that have made HPL a trusted material for demanding interior and exterior applications. Among the topics covered are durability, hygiene, design versatility, resource efficiency and the long service life of HPL products.

A particular focus is placed on the strengths of HPL manufactured by ICDLI member companies in Europe. The publication emphasises high product quality, strong compliance with European standards, responsible manufacturing practices and the storing of CO2 in long-lasting premium products.

Speaking with one voice

"The White Paper fills a gap in representing a shared industry commitment to quality, sustainability and technical excellence," says Sven Weihe, General Secretary of ICDLI. "It provides all member companies with a common language for communicating the strong benefits of European HPL to all relevant stakeholders along the value chain and public."

The publication has been designed primarily as a practical communication tool for ICDLI members. It supports discussions with architects, designers, planners and end users by presenting the key advantages of European HPL in a clear and accessible format. At the same time, it strengthens the industry's common positioning by clearly communicating the values that distinguish European HPL manufacturers.

To meet different communication needs, the White Paper is available in two formats: a comprehensive eight-page document and a concise one-page summary providing an overview of the main messages together with a link to the full publication.
