ICDLI launches digital HPL Compendium in English
The digital Compendium provides comprehensive information on the manufacturing, processing, properties and applications of HPL, while also covering sustainability, product safety, quality requirements and relevant European standards. "The HPL Compendium represents decades of technical expertise gathered within the European HPL industry and reflects the knowledge and experience associated with HPL manufactured in Europe," says Dr Michael Peham, Chairman of the ICDLI Technical Commission and Product and Certification Expert at Fundermax. "Our objective is to provide reliable, scientifically sound and practical information that supports everyone working with HPL. By making the Compendium available in English, we are opening this valuable source of knowledge to professionals around the world and contributing to an even better understanding of this high-performance material manufactured in Europe."
Since the publication of its first printed edition in 2019, the HPL Compendium has become the industry's most respected technical reference works. Published in four languages so far and comprising more than 170 pages, it provides an in-depth overview of HPL manufacturing, properties, processing, applications and sustainability. Developed by leading experts from the European HPL industry, the Compendium combines technical excellence with practical guidance, making it a valuable resource for both experienced professionals and newcomers alike.
Expanding access to HPL knowledge
The English-language website marks another milestone in ICDLI's long-term strategy to make high-quality technical knowledge on HPL freely accessible to people around the world. Further language versions are already in preparation. At the same time, the digital Compendium itself will continue to evolve through regular updates, ensuring that new technical developments, standards, regulatory requirements and practical insights are continuously incorporated.
With the launch of www.hpl-compendium.com, ICDLI reinforces its role as the international knowledge hub for HPL and its commitment to supporting architects, planners, designers, manufacturers and fabricators with independent, up-to-date and practice-oriented technical knowledge.
